On Saturday, May 13, Asian Wave Alliance hosted candidates with June primaries in Brooklyn's 43rd and 47th city council districts. Republican candidates running in the 47th district participated: Anna Belfiore-Delfaus, Ari Kagan, and Avery Pereira. This year, there will be a Democratic and a Republican primary in the 43rd district, the new Asian majority district that was created in last year's redistricting. We hosted Democratic candidates Stanley Ng and Susan Zhuang; Wai Yee Chan was invited but was unable to attend due to a scheduling conflict. We also hosted a panel for Republican candidates Vito LaBella and Ying Tan. Here are the press coverage of our event.
